"Thank you," the two words the ghost spoke to me hit me like a stone, and a feeling of joy and comfort filled me. I can't explain the total joy that came over me at that moment. I knew the guy who I tried to help in Los Angeles, and who was hit and killed by the car had paid me a visit. More importantly, I knew that I was going to be okay. It all became clear to me. I knew the ghost was not holding any grudges against me. My eyes began to fill with tears and I kept repeating out loud, "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry." I knew I was going to be fine from now on.
I made the decision to turn around and return home. I was not scared or hesitant in any way. The sun was already up in the sky, and at that moment, the world was the most beautiful place to be.
Since that day I've not had any further sleepless nights. Or any noises, or further visits from the ghost. He made his peace with me, and I made mine with him. I know that I'm a very lucky man. Well, that’s my story.
